World Art Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at Manrakhan Mahto B.Ed. College
Ranchi: World Art Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and creativity at Manrakhan Mahto B.Ed. College. On this occasion, the entire college community celebrated the various forms of art and highlighted its significance.

The program began with the ceremonial lamp lighting and welcome address by the college chairman, Hon’ble Manrakhan Mahto. In his speech, he stated that World Art Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of the great artist Leonardo da Vinci, whose talent and creativity gave new direction to the world of art. He further shared that this day was initiated in 2012 by the International Association of Art, with the aim of promoting awareness and appreciation of art among the general public.
College Director Manoj Kumar Mahto expressed his views by saying, “Art, in any form, is a language that expresses emotions and thoughts—be it painting, dance, music, or any other medium. It brings out the inner sensitivities of a person.”
Principal Dr. Dudheswar Mahto also shared his thoughts on the occasion, stating that art plays a vital role in fostering mental peace, unity, and harmony within society.
The highlight of the program was a Sand Art Competition held among students of M.Ed., B.Ed., and D.El.Ed. courses. In the competition, Jennifer Group secured the first position, Shraddha Group came second, and Rohit Group stood third. All participants beautifully conveyed social messages through their artistic creations.
On this occasion, College Trustee Virendranath Ohdar, Khushboo Singh, Kriti Kajal, Manager Mukesh Kumar, Administrator Meena Kumari, Poonam Kumari, all teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as trainees, were present.
