Tribute Program Organized in Sadma on World Indigenous Peoples’ Day
Ranchi — On the occasion of World Indigenous Peoples’ Day, a tribute program was organized at Project +2 High School, Sadma, under the aegis of the Tribal 22 Pargana Sarna Committee, Sadma, Ormanjhi–Kanke region, and under the leadership of Babulal Mahli.
The program began with garlanding the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. This was followed by offering floral tributes to the portrait of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren — revered leader of the Jharkhand movement, former Chief Minister, and Rajya Sabha MP.
Babulal Mahli said that the bravery of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, his dedication to protecting land, water, forests, and natural resources, and his contributions to the tribal and indigenous communities can never be forgotten. Dishom Guru Shibu Soren’s lifelong commitment and struggles for the tribal community will always inspire us.
He added that the objective of this program is to preserve our culture and traditions, safeguard the rights and interests of tribal communities, and strengthen unity and integrity. We hope that such events will create new opportunities for the growth and upliftment of the tribal society.
