Tribute Ceremony Held on the 55th Death Anniversary of Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda
Ranchi– A tribute ceremony was held on Thursday at the Johar Dhaba premises, located on Ring Road in Chutu Panchayat, Kanke Block, to commemorate the 55th death anniversary of the great tribal leader, freedom fighter, Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda. On this occasion, Bachhan Oraon stated that Jaipal Singh Munda was a hero of Jharkhand. He emphasized the need to follow his path to protect the tribal community’s ownership rights over water, forests, land, and minerals. He further added that every individual must fulfill their responsibility for the overall development of Jharkhand.
Bachhan Oraon also mentioned that the true tribute to Marang Gomke would be to follow his principles and the path he laid down. Youth social worker Pratul Munda highlighted that during the Constituent Assembly debates, Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda strongly advocated for tribal rights, ensuring constitutional protections for the tribal community. He credited Jaipal Singh Munda’s efforts for the tribal society’s current constitutional safeguards. Meanwhile, senior social worker Jagat Munda remarked that Jaipal Singh Munda was not just a leader of the Munda community but a visionary leader for the entire nation. He laid the foundation for indigenous ideology and democratic values and played a crucial role in initiating the separate Jharkhand movement.
The event began with a garlanding and floral tribute to the portrait of Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda.
Several dignitaries attended the event, including Haji Anees Ansari, Bhagwan Das Oraon, Sumit Munda, Raju Sahu, Ravindra Kumar, and Shanichariya Devi, along with dozens of other notable personalities.
