Sarhul Festival Celebrated with Traditional Rituals, Cultural Splendor Shines in the Procession
Ranchi: The Jharkhand Pradesh Adivasi Sarna Padhha Samaj organized the Sarhul Festival and Sarhul Milan Ceremony with great enthusiasm on Thursday at Munna Patra Chakla, Ormanjhi. On this occasion, traditional rituals and prayers were conducted at the Sarna site, where thousands of devotees participated with devotion and excitement.
The grand event saw groups from various villages, including Irba, Karma, Chakla, Dahu, Barwe, Rukka, and Baridih, take part in a vibrant procession dressed in traditional attire. Men and women donned red turbans, sarees, dhotis, and vests while dancing to the rhythmic beats of drums and nagadas. The air echoed with the sound of Mandar drums, and women joyfully performed traditional Sarhul dances.

The Sarhul fair is organized every year at Munna Patra Chakla, but this time, it was grander and more captivating than ever before. A massive crowd of devotees from across the district gathered, creating an atmosphere of joy and festivity.
Dignitaries and representatives from social organizations present at the event described it as a symbol of cultural and traditional preservation. They congratulated the organizing committee on the successful event.
Distinguished guests included Chief Guest Professor Premnath Munda, former MP Ram Tahal Chaudhary, former MLA Ram Kumar Pahan, Samundar Pahan, Rizwan Ansari, Muntazir Ahmed Raza, Lalu Sahu, Balak Pahan, Ashok Munda, and several other notable figures.
