Road Accident in Irba: Two Piaggio Autos Damaged After Collision with Eicher Truck, Major Tragedy Averted
Ranchi— A major road accident was narrowly averted on Thursday afternoon around 1:30 PM near Jaika Rampur Muradabadi Chicken Biryani at Niche Mohalla in Irba, located under the Ormanjhi police station area of Ranchi district. An Eicher truck collided with two Piaggio autos on the Ranchi–Ramgarh main road. One of the autos was loaded with oxygen gas cylinders, while the other was carrying iron rods. Despite the severity of the collision, no serious injury or loss of life was reported, which came as a major relief. According to eyewitnesses, the Eicher truck (Registration No. JH-02BK-0473) was traveling from Ranchi to Ramgarh. As it approached the Jaika Rampur Muradabadi Chicken Biryani area in Irba, the driver lost control of the vehicle. The truck first rammed into Piaggio auto JH-01DV-7207, which was carrying oxygen cylinders, and then struck another Piaggio JH-01BZ-9414, which was parked on the roadside waiting to cross the road. Auto driver Dharmanath Munda, who was present at the spot, stated that he was waiting to cross the road when a black Thar suddenly stopped in the middle of the road, causing a traffic jam. Amidst the chaos, the truck driver lost control, leading to the accident. Upon receiving information, Ormanjhi police promptly reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The truck was seized and taken to the police station. An investigation is currently underway.
