Ranchi – Committee formed for PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, Neori Mukhiya Sadho Oraon appointed as a member
Ranchi – Two Panchayat representatives have been nominated to form a district-level committee in Ranchi district under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. A notification to this effect has been issued by the office of the District Panchayat Raj Officer, Ranchi. According to the District Panchayat Raj Officer, in light of the Director, National Planning Programme, Ranchi’s letter No. 805(ii)/V dated September 20, 2025, two Panchayat mukhiya have been included in the district-level committee to ensure Panchayat-level participation and transparency in the implementation of the scheme.
The names of the nominated Panchayat representatives are as follows:
- Sadho Oraon, Mukhiya, Neori Panchayat
- Ramesh Bedia, Mukhiya, Tundahuli Panchayat
Both representatives have been nominated as members of the District-Level Committee for the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. The committee’s objective is to promote the effective use of solar energy in villages covered by the scheme, maintain transparency in the selection of beneficiaries, and ensure public awareness at the village level. To this end, a district-level meeting has been convened on October 25, 2025, at 3:00 pm in Ranchi Collectorate Building, Block A, Room No. 207. Sadho Oraon, mukhiya of Neori Panchayat, said, “The Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme is a historic initiative that will bring light into the lives of villagers. This will not only save electricity but will also make villages self-reliant. Our priority will be to ensure that every eligible family benefits from this scheme, and the use of solar energy will also protect the environment.”
