Ranchi – Celebration of success of 315 minority students: Grand felicitation ceremony held at Haj House
Ranchi: – Pratibha Samman Ceremony cum Scholarship Distribution Program was organized at Haj House, Kadru under the joint aegis of Friends of Weaker Society and American Federation of Indian Origin AFMI America and Canada. On this occasion, 315 Muslim students from across the state who scored more than 85% marks in CBSE and JAC board examinations of 10th and 12th to be held in 2025 were honored by giving momento, certificate and cash prize. The program started with Tilawat-e-Quran by Hafiz Abdullah Qamar. The chief guest, special guest and respected dignitaries were welcomed by Executive Member of Friends of Weaker Society, Khalid Khalil. Secretary Qamar Siddiqui presented the annual report. Khalid Khalil, Lizam Lez, Ali and Nawazish Hasan took the responsibility of conducting the function. Tanveer Ahmed, President of Friends of Weaker Society said – The purpose of such events is to recognize the talent of children, respect their abilities and motivate them to bring glory to the society, state and country with the power of education by giving them the right guidance.
In his address, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress in-charge K. Raju said – Friends of Weaker Society is supporting poor students financially, this is commendable. Career counseling and skill development should also be given attention so that the youth can get better opportunities in private and government sectors. The central government has not been sensitive towards the educational schemes of the minority community. But it is expected from the coalition government that it will seriously solve the problems of minority students.


Dr. Abdul Qadir, Director of Shaheen Group of Institutions, Bidar (Karnataka), gave the message to the students to adopt humanity and morality along with education. He said— Shaheen Group was started with only 17 students and today it has reached 117 institutions. Education is not just a name for getting a degree but a means to become a good person and a better citizen. He expressed concern over the decreasing interest of boys in education and appealed to the parents to equally educate their sons along with their daughters. He also stressed on the need to stop expensive weddings.


Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji called the institution the pride of Jharkhand and promised that she would keep trying to solve the educational problems of the minority community.

Vice President of Minority Commission, Jharkhand Shamsher Alam called the institution an organization doing inspirational work in the field of education.
City SP Ajit Kumar said— Education and culture are the keys to becoming a good person, good citizen and good Muslim. The house where the daughters are educated, the whole family becomes educated. JAC Board 10th District Topper Tahreem Fatima (State Rank – 6) was honored by the institution by giving an advanced laptop.
Board-wise toppers were specially felicitated. Students who passed NEET and JEE Main exams of 2025 – Rehmat Safia, Arman Ahmed, Anam Zulkarnain and Ayat Rehman – were also felicitated at the event.
AFMI representative Shamim Ahmed from the US said – AFMI provides scholarships to thousands of students every year. Friends of Weaker Society is also working in this direction and is proving to be helpful in saving poor children from dropouts.
DIG Palamu Naushad Alam started his address with the recitation of the Quran Sharif. He said that a person should pay special attention to his character. He told the children that every person should have a goal in competitive life and that goal should always be big. Usually only students who score more than 90 percent marks are felicitated, but it is also necessary that talented students who score less marks should be encouraged. A diamond can be made only by carving a stone.
