On Yoga Day, Students Practiced Yoga at Saint Mother Teresa School — A Spiritually Charged Atmosphere

Ranchi — A grand and inspiring yoga event was organized at Saint Mother Teresa High School, located in Neori Vikas under the BIT Mesra OP police station area, Gram Panchayat Neori, on the occasion of International Yoga Day. The aim of the program was to raise awareness among students and the general public about yoga, health, discipline, and mental peace.

The event commenced at 6:30 a.m. with the chanting of Vedic mantras and a collective prayer, creating a deeply spiritual and energetic environment. Students, teachers, parents, and local villagers participated enthusiastically in the celebration.

In his inspiring address, School Principal Rameshwar Thakur stated, “Yoga is not merely a physical exercise — it is a mantra for spiritual balance, mental peace, and a disciplined life.” He encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily routines to become healthy and positive citizens in the future.

The program was conducted by senior teacher Dr. Anang Mohan Mukherjee, who gave students practical training in various yoga postures and breathing exercises (pranayama), explaining their benefits from a scientific perspective.

At the conclusion of the event, all participants took a collective pledge to practice yoga regularly and adopt a healthy lifestyle. The event was marked by remarkable enthusiasm, discipline, and participation from the students — a testament to its success.

The school administration expressed its gratitude to all the guests, parents, and media representatives present and resolved to continue organizing such awareness programs regularly in the future.
