Muharram — Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari’s Hussaini Spirit Undeterred by Heavy Rain
Joined the Muharram Processions, Gave a Message of Unity and Principles
Ranchi: Jharkhand Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari braved heavy rain to participate in Muharram Tazia processions held at various places in the Jamtara Assembly constituency, including Chhayatand, Fitkoria, Birajpur, Narayanpur, Dhekipada, and Mihijam, spreading the message of the Hussaini spirit, unity, and brotherhood.
Dr. Irfan Ansari met elders, youth, and children of the Muslim community at multiple Tazia gatherings, greeting them warmly, shaking hands, and embracing them — urging everyone to uphold communal harmony and solidarity. He said that Jamtara’s identity should not rest solely on development but must also stand as an example of mutual love and brotherhood.

Addressing the people gathered at various venues, Dr. Irfan Ansari said, “Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) did not bow to falsehood or tyranny in the battlefield of Karbala despite unimaginable hardships, hunger, thirst, and brutal oppression. He had no weapons or army, yet his strength of principles and truth made him immortal.” He added that Imam Hussain refused to accept a tyrant like Yazid as Caliph, even though it cost him the sacrifice of his entire family. “This is the true message of Muharram — to fight for truth, to stand against injustice, and to never compromise on one’s ideals.”

Dr. Irfan Ansari said that even today, we must draw inspiration from Muharram and face life’s challenges fearlessly. “No matter how many obstacles lie ahead, we must stand firm in our principles and truth. This Hussaini spirit makes us strong.” I see politics as a means to serve the people and I have dedicated myself completely to them. I am always at your service, 24/7. If anyone ever needs help, remember — your brother Irfan Ansari will always stand by you in every joy and sorrow.”
The Minister appealed to people of all communities to maintain unity, brotherhood, and religious harmony, and to work together to make Jamtara and all of Jharkhand an ideal state. He concluded, “Muharram teaches us that true victory lies in standing firm for our principles, not in surrendering out of fear.”
