Minister Chamra Linda Visits Khunti District, Emphasizes Strengthening Education and Culture

Khunti: The Honorable Minister of the Department of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, and Backward Classes Welfare of the Jharkhand Government, Chamra Linda, visited Khunti district today. During the visit, he inspected the facilities available to students and the maintenance of the Birsa College campus in Khunti. The minister first paid tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda by offering a floral wreath at his statue, after which he examined the hostel premises, toilets, and other key areas, giving instructions for necessary improvements. He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing quality facilities to students and stated that the government is continuously working to establish world-class standards in education.

After this, the Honorable Minister inaugurated the grand event of folk dance, music, and football competitions at Gandu Sarjom, Khunti. The event showcased a beautiful glimpse of tribal culture, with traditional folk dances and musical performances captivating the audience. The Minister appreciated the enthusiasm and energy of the young players participating in the competition and encouraged them to refine their talents.

The Honorable Minister stated that such cultural and sports events not only help preserve traditional heritage but also foster unity and harmony within the community. He extended his best wishes to all the participants and encouraged them to keep striving to make their dreams a reality. He assured that the government is determined to bring comprehensive reforms in education, culture, and sports, and all necessary steps are being taken in this direction.

The event was attended by the Honorable MLA of Khunti Assembly Constituency, Ram Surya Munda, along with other public representatives, Project Director of ITDA, and other officials, as well as local citizens.
