Manrakhan Mahto Pharmacy College Promotes Health Awareness on Pharmacist Day

Ranchi:- World Pharmacist Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Manrakhan Mahto Pharmacy College. Various events were organized on the college campus, including colorful cultural performances by trainees, a pledge taking ceremony, and a rally. The program was inaugurated by the Honorable College Chairman, Manrakhan Mahto. Addressing the trainees, College Chairman, Manrakhan Mahto stated that World Pharmacist Day is celebrated on September 25th to commemorate the establishment of the International Pharmaceutical Federation in 1912. He highlighted the vital role of pharmacists and their contribution to healthcare.

College Principal Ragini Kumari stated that this year’s theme for World Pharmacist Day 2025 is “Think Health, Think Pharmacist.” This theme highlights the crucial role of pharmacists in building strong, equitable, and resilient health systems worldwide. On the occasion of Pharmacist Day, the 5th National Pharmacovigilance Week was also celebrated, and various competitions were held for the trainees.

The winners of the competitions were as follows:

Quiz Competition: Rajesh Kumar and Ankita Kumari

Painting Competition: Nisha Kumari and Kaushik Rahi

Poetry Recitation Competition: Sanjana Kumari and Ankit Kumar

Poster Making Competition: Ashish Ranjan Kumar

Speech Competition: Manohar Singh

The trainees took the oath and held a rally in Kedal village, distributing emergency kits door-to-door, spreading the message of health awareness in the community.

At the conclusion of the program, College Chairman Manrakhan Mahto, Trustees Virendranath Ohdar, Khushboo Singh, Kriti Kajal, Director Manoj Kumar Mahto, Manager Mukesh Kumar, Administrator Meena Kumari, Poonam Kumari, and Principal Ragini Kumari presented the prizes to the winners. During this time all the trainees, lecturers and non-teaching staff were present.
