Manrakhan Mahto Group of Institutions Hosts Grand ‘Navrang’ Festival with Enthusiasm
Ranchi: The annual festival ‘Navrang’ was held with great enthusiasm on February 15, 2025, at Manrakhan Mahto Group of Institutions. The cultural event was inaugurated at 10:00 AM by the chief guest Honorable Manrakhan Mahto (Chairman) and Urmila Devi, who lit the ceremonial lamp. The event featured various competitions designed to uncover and encourage students’ hidden talents.

Later, the ceremony of the ‘Navrang’ began at 3:00 PM, with the chief guest Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha (Vice-Chancellor, Ranchi University), special guests Chairman Honorable Manrakhan Mahto, Prashant Kumar Pandey (Registrar-cum-Secretary, Jharkhand State Pharmacy Council), Sanjay Kumar Mahto (District Council Member, Kanke East), Urmila Devi, Trustee Virendra Nath Ohdar, Khushboo Singh, Kriti Kajal, Director Manoj Kumar Mahto, Manager Mukesh Kumar, Administrator Meena Kumari, Poonam Kumari, and all faculty principals lighting the ceremonial lamp to begin the program.

The event commenced with a prayer to Lord Ganesha.

Certificates were distributed to the students who secured the first, second, and third positions in various competitions during a certificate distribution ceremony. The certificates were presented by the chief guest Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha, special guest Prashant Kumar Pandey, Chairman Honorable Manrakhan Mahto, Director Manoj Kumar Mahto, Manager Mukesh Kumar, Administrator Meena Kumari, and Poonam Kumari. In a special recognition, University Topper Anuradha Kumari (Session 2022-2024) was honored with ₹11,000 (eleven thousand rupees) and a prize by Chairman Honorable Manrakhan Mahto. Additionally, top scorers from all college faculties were also awarded certificates by the chief guest.

During the event, the college’s magazine was also unveiled.

Chief guest Dr. Ajit Kumar Sinha remarked, “This institution is not only contributing to shaping the bright future of students but also playing a leading role in bringing about positive changes in society.” He extended his best wishes for the institution’s continuous growth. Special guest Prashant Kumar Pandey emphasized the importance of education, stating, “Education is the foundation of life, providing us with knowledge, skills, and self-confidence.” Honorable Manrakhan Mahto said, “The purpose of this event is to nurture the holistic development of students’ talents so that they can contribute to the development of their families, society, and nation with confidence.” Director Manoj Kumar Mahto stated, “We create an environment in the college where students can develop their hidden talents.”
The program featured performances by renowned Nagpuri singers from Jharkhand, Vivek Nayak, Suman Gupta, Pritam Kumar, Barkha Barak, and anchor Priya Chaudhary, who added color to the event with their vibrant presentations. At the end of the event, all faculty principals shared their thoughts and extended their best wishes for the success of the event.

The ‘Navrang’ event was aimed at uncovering and encouraging students’ talents, and it was a complete success. This event was not only significant from a cultural perspective but also provided students with the opportunity to recognize their hidden talents and contribute positively to society.
