Legal Awareness Program Organized by APCR in Dhanbad

Ranchi– A one-day legal awareness program was organized under the aegis of the APCR (Association for Protection of Civil Rights) Dhanbad unit. The program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, creating a spiritual atmosphere. The secretary of APCR introduced the organization and explained its mission and activities. Advocate Shish Alam spoke in detail about the fundamental rights provided by the Constitution of India, emphasizing the importance of citizens being aware of their legal rights. APCR Ranchi District Secretary, Advocate Qamar Imam Parwez, shed light on the Indian criminal justice system and stated that the legal process in India is extremely complex and needs to be simplified to ensure justice reaches the last person in society. Advocate Shadab Ansari discussed the legal provisions related to the rights of an arrested person, explaining them in detail. He highlighted that due to a lack of legal knowledge, many common people face undue hardships. In his presidential address, APCR Jharkhand Vice President Advocate Md. Rezaullah Ansari urged people to join APCR and help provide legal assistance to the weak and oppressed sections of society. He stressed the need to expand legal awareness campaigns and increase public understanding of the law. He further emphasized that no individual has the right to take the law into their own hands. Expressing serious concern over incidents of mob lynching in the country and the state, he called for unity among the public to fight against injustice, hatred, and oppression, and to promote peace and harmony. In response to a question, he clarified that APCR is always ready to provide legal aid to victims regardless of their caste, religion, or region. Hundreds of people participated in the program, including advocates, educators, journalists, and social workers. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Saiful Islam.
