Irba: Condolence Program Held in Memory of Sheikh ul Hadith Hazrat Maulana Aqil Sahab
Ranchi: A special condolence gathering (Taziyati Program) was organized at Masjid-e-Hira, Madrasa Mazharul Uloom, Irba (Ranchi, Jharkhand) to pay heartfelt tribute to the soul of the esteemed Sheikh ul Hadith Hazrat Maulana Aqil Sahab of the renowned Islamic institution Mazahir Uloom, Saharanpur. The event witnessed the presence of a large number of madrasa students, teachers, and respected scholars (Ulama-e-Kiram) from the region. The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by speakers reflecting on the noble life, simple lifestyle, teaching methods, and exemplary character of Sheikh ul Hadith Hazrat Maulana Aqil Sahab.

The main speaker, Maulana Samiul Haq Mazahiri, shared an inspiring incident from Hazrat’s life. He recalled that once, upon inviting Hazrat to visit Ranchi for a religious program, Hazrat politely declined, saying, “It would disrupt regular teaching schedule, so I cannot come. You may invite those scholars who often travel.” This response reflected Hazrat’s punctuality, sense of responsibility, and unwavering dedication to Islamic education. Hazrat Maulana Aqil Sahab led a simple yet ideal life. He was disciplined in teaching and always encouraged his students to serve the cause of religion. Whenever a former student visited him, he would always ask, “What are you doing?” If the answer indicated work in a mosque or madrasa, Hazrat would be deeply pleased and bless them abundantly.
The program concluded with an emotional prayer led by Mufti Abu Ubaidah Qasmi (Imam and Khatib, Jama Masjid Irba). Among those present were Mufti Imran Nadvi (Nazim, Madrasa Mazharul Uloom, Irba), Mufti Wasiur Rahman Nadvi (Nazim-e-Talimat), Mufti Abu Ubaidah Qasmi, Maulana Samiul Haq Mazahiri, Maulana Abul Kalam Mazahiri (Hesal), Qari Jan Mohammad, Hafiz Salamatullah, Hafiz Shams Tabrez, Maulana Nafis Qasmi and Maulana Mahtab Nadvi etc were present.
