Holi and Ramadan: Peace Committee Meeting Emphasizes Harmony in Ormanjhi
Ranchi: Ahead of the upcoming festivals of Holi and the holy month of Ramadan, an important meeting of the Peace Committee was held on Wednesday at the Ormanjhi police station premises. The meeting was presided over by Ormanjhi Police Station In-Charge Anil Kumar Tiwari and conducted by former Deputy Pramukh Jaygovind Sahu. Representatives from various communities, social workers, and prominent citizens participated in the meeting.

Ormanjhi Police Station In-Charge Anil Kumar Tiwari extended warm wishes for Holi and Ramadan to everyone. He emphasized that both festivals symbolize love, unity, and harmony and urged all citizens to celebrate them in a peaceful and cordial atmosphere. He specifically stressed avoiding the forceful application of colors during Holi, refraining from intoxication, and cooperating with the administration to maintain law and order.
Block Pramukh Anupama Devi stated that Ormanjhi has always been known for promoting love and harmony. She said Holi is a festival of mutual brotherhood and should be celebrated with peace and goodwill. Similarly, Block Deputy Pramukh Rizwan Ansari highlighted Ormanjhi’s unique tradition of celebrating all festivals collectively. He appreciated the active role and collective contributions of social workers in maintaining social harmony in the region.
Ormanjhi’s senior social worker and former Deputy Head, Muntazir Ahmad Raza, also shared his views. He said, “Both Holi and Ramadan convey the message of unity, love, and harmony. This is a time when all sections of society must come together to preserve communal peace. The true essence of these festivals lies in brotherhood and mutual respect, and it is our responsibility to uphold these values at all costs.” He assured the administration of full cooperation and appealed to everyone to maintain peace and discipline.

Several other notable figures also expressed their thoughts during the meeting, including Block Development Officer Kameshwar Bedia, BJP leader Amarnath Chaudhary, Manki Rajendra Sahi, Deepak Baraik, Samundar Pahan, Lalita Mehta, Tulsi Kharwar, Ramesh Oraon, Anjit Mahto, and Satyanarayan Tiwari. Everyone pledged their commitment to maintaining social harmony and assisting in ensuring peace and order.
Among the attendees were village heads and social leaders like Sunil Oraon, Ramkumar Mahto, Durga Shankar Sahu, Shiv Prasad Sahu, Rahim Ansari, Nageshwar Mahto, Dilip Mehta, Govind Lal Gupta, Khalik Khan, Mubarak Ansari, Rajesh Gupta, Surendra Oraon, Hariprasad Yadav, Shashi Mehta, Balram Mahto, Anand Mahto, and Kashinath Pahan.
At the end of the meeting, all participants unanimously resolved to fully support the administration and celebrate the festivals of Holi and Ramadan with peace, harmony, and joy. The police also appealed to citizens to promptly report any untoward incidents or suspicious activities to ensure the safety and security of the area.
