Historic Launch of the Country’s First Health Insurance Scheme for Advocates in Jharkhand

Chief Minister Hemant Soren Gifts a New Health Security Scheme to Advocates and Their Dependents

Ranchi – Chief Minister Hemant Soren today described the occasion as a historic day for Jharkhand. The state government has launched a health insurance scheme for the respected advocates of Jharkhand and their dependents. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said the government has taken steps to ease the concerns of advocates and shoulder the responsibilities related to their healthcare.

He was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the “Health Insurance Scheme for Advocates” under the State Employee Health Insurance Scheme, held at Harivansh Tana Bhagat Indoor Stadium, Khelgaon, Ranchi. He further added that the government is actively working on a roadmap to establish one of the country’s best law universities in Jharkhand and that concrete steps will soon be taken in this direction.

Holistic Development for Every Section, Every Generation

CM Hemant Soren emphasized that his government is concerned for every individual and every section of society—whether rural or urban, rich or poor, businessman or youth, student or senior citizen. The government is committed to the inclusive development of all and is working continuously toward that goal. He said the state administration is striving to ensure that government initiatives and future plans reach every segment of society.

He acknowledged that Jharkhand’s backwardness is a painful reality, and the government is taking consistent and positive steps to eliminate it and put the state on the path of progress.

Every Moment of the Government is Dedicated to the People

The Chief Minister expressed gratitude for the support and blessings of the people, which enabled his government to lead the state. He assured that every moment and every effort of the state government is dedicated to public service. He emphasized that through hard work, public trust is earned—which is why the present government enjoys stronger public support than its predecessors. The government aims to fulfill the aspirations and expectations of the people of Jharkhand.

Resolving Issues is Our Priority

He stated that challenges are part of life, but resolving them is a priority for the government. The health insurance scheme launched today for advocates and their dependents is part of this commitment. He also mentioned that the state is working on plans to improve the legal profession environment for advocates in Jharkhand.

Gurujii Credit Card Scheme for Students

The CM highlighted the “Gurujii Credit Card Scheme,” aimed at providing quality higher education for the youth of the state. Under this scheme, students can avail loans of up to ₹15 lakhs without the need for any guarantor—for pursuing education in fields like engineering, medicine, law, or journalism. He urged parents to help their children benefit from this opportunity.

On this historic occasion, the Chief Minister extended his best wishes and greetings to all advocates.

Present at the event were Minister Radhakrishna Kishore, Minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav, Dr. Irfan Ansari, Minister Deepika Pandey Singh, Minister Sudivya Kumar, Rajya Sabha MP Dr. Mahua Maji, MLA Suresh Kumar Baitha, Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Ajay Kumar Singh, Advocate General Rajeev Ranjan, NHM Director Abu Imran, along with several senior officials and dignitaries from across the state.
