Heartfelt Greetings to the Nation on World Indigenous Peoples’ Day:— Bachhan Oraon

Ranchi — On the occasion of World Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Bachhan Oraon, State President of the Regional Sarna Committee, Jharkhand Pradesh, and Jharkhand Party Scheduled Tribes Wing, extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all citizens of the nation.

He said that the tribal community has, for centuries, made significant contributions to protecting nature, conserving water, forests, and land, and upholding the values of collective living. Our culture teaches us to live in harmony with nature — a way of life that is especially crucial today for environmental conservation.

He urged the government to take concrete measures to preserve the languages, culture, traditional knowledge, and art of the tribal communities. He also emphasized the need to focus on promoting education, healthcare, and employment opportunities in tribal areas so that the younger generation can remain connected to their roots while progressing in the mainstream of modern development.

On this occasion, Bachhan Oraon called upon all tribal brothers and sisters to safeguard their traditions, customs, and cultural heritage, and to pass them on to future generations.

In conclusion, he said that this day reminds us with pride that we are part of India’s rich heritage, which has given the world the message of respect for life and nature.
