Ranchi — The Haji Ehsan Ansari Memorial Knockout Night Cricket Tournament 2025, organized under the aegis of Florence Group of Institutions, Irba, is currently underway at the Irba Football Ground with great enthusiasm, energy, and sporting spirit. The tournament will conclude with a grand final match on April 15, 2025. A total of 32 teams are participating, with each match comprising 8 overs, including a 3-over powerplay at the start. Massive audience turnout and stellar player performances have turned the event into a full-fledged sporting carnival.

Super Knockout: A Dominating Display by Haji Ehsan Ansari Cricket Club

In the Super Knockout round, Haji Ehsan Ansari Cricket Club delivered a commanding performance by defeating Bajarmara 11 with a massive 54-run margin. Batting first, the Haji Ehsan Ansari Cricket Club scored 93 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 8 overs. The middle-order batsmen played responsibly, building a strong foundation and maintaining pressure on the opposing bowlers.

In response, Bajarmara 11 faltered right from the start and could only manage 39 runs for 9 wickets in their 8 overs. With this emphatic win, Haji Ehsan Ansari Cricket Club secured their place in the next round of the tournament.

Victory March Continues in Round 2 and Quarterfinals

In Round 2, Haji Ehsan Ansari Cricket Club faced ZF ARAM Irba. ZF ARAM, batting first, posted 29 runs for 4 wickets in 6 overs. Chasing the target, Haji Ehsan Ansari Cricket Club comfortably reached 32 runs in just 3 overs and 2 balls, losing only 2 wickets.

The winning streak continued into the quarterfinals where the Haji Ehsan Ansari Cricket Club locked horns with Welfare Club Karma. Batting first, Haji Ehsan Ansari Cricket Club scored 48 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 6 overs. Welfare Club Karma, chasing the target, could only manage 19 runs for 5 wickets in their 6 overs and was knocked out of the tournament.
