Grand Inter-School Yogasan Championship Held at Manan Vidya Manrakhan Mahto School

Ranchi: — An Inter-School Yogasan Championship was successfully organised with great enthusiasm and grandeur on Saturday at Manan Vidya Manrakhan Mahto School, Ranchi, under the aegis of Kshitij — Ranchi Sahodaya School Complex.

The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Following this, the students of the school presented a welcome song and an impressive yoga dance performance, which mesmerised the esteemed guests and audience.

In her welcome address, the Principal, Rekha Naidu, said, “Yoga means to unite — to connect with oneself, with energy, and with nature. Yoga is an essential practice for physical health, mental balance, and spiritual growth.”

On this occasion, Aditya Kumar Singh, Convenor of the Jharkhand Yoga Association, Sushant Banerjee, Working President of the Ranchi Yoga Association, Rajesh Pillai, Principal of Kairali School and Treasurer of the Ranchi Sahodaya School Complex, Jasmeet Kaur, Principal of Sharda Global School, Shalini Vijay, Principal of Guru Gobind Singh Public School, and Archana Singh Rathore, Principal of Springdale School, graced the event with their esteemed presence and encouraged the participants.

Students from many renowned schools of Ranchi and nearby areas participated in the championship and showcased their exceptional yoga skills, impressing everyone present. The main objective of the competition was to instil physical, mental, and spiritual balance in students and to make them aware of the significance of yoga.

Participants from various age groups demonstrated a variety of yogic postures and asanas, captivating the audience. The panel of judges evaluated all participants with fairness and transparency and announced the winners.

In this championship, Guru Nanak Higher Secondary School secured the first prize, Vivekananda Vidya Mandir won the second prize, and Tender Heart Secondary School was awarded the third prize.

At the end of the programme, a formal Vote of Thanks was delivered by the school, expressing gratitude towards the chief guests, participating schools, judges, teachers, and all members of the organising committee.

The event concluded with the National Anthem. The entire programme stood as a symbol of discipline, dedication, and excellent management, which the school family has embraced as a new inspiration. The school pledged to continue organising such events in the future as well.
