Grand Celebration of Lamp Lighting and Oath-Taking Ceremony at Manrakhan Mahto Nursing College

Ranchi: Manrakhan Mahto Nursing College organized the “Lamp Lighting and Oath-Taking Ceremony,” a significant event to honor and inspire new nursing trainees.

The program commenced with the college president, Honorable Manrakhan Mahto, offering floral tributes to the portrait of Florence Nightingale and lighting the ceremonial lamp. In his address, he highlighted the importance of the nursing profession and encouraged the trainees to pursue excellence and dedication in their careers.

The college principal, Chitravel V, remarked, “Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of nursing students. It is the day they embark on their journey to understand the responsibilities and duties of the nursing profession.”

Vice Principal Rekha B administered the “Lamp Lighting” and “Oath-Taking” ceremonies for the B.Sc. Nursing and GNM 2024-2025 batch trainees. She elaborated that the lamp-lighting ceremony symbolizes the transfer of knowledge, wisdom, and purity, strengthening the core values and ethics of the nursing profession.

Senior faculty members and administrative staff provided valuable guidance to the trainees during the ceremony.

Prominent attendees included Urmila Devi, Trustee Virendra Nath Ohdar, Khushboo Singh, Kriti Kajal, Director Manoj Kumar Mahto, Manager Mukesh Kumar, Administrator Meena Kumari, Poonam Kumari, and Pharmacy College Principal Ragini Kumari. Faculty members and non-teaching staff also participated in large numbers.

The event infused enthusiasm and inspiration among the new trainees, encouraging them to uphold the dignity and integrity of the nursing profession through their pledge.
