Demand for widening and reconstruction of the dilapidated road from Irba to Ansar Nagar
Humayun Ansari submits memorandum to MLA Rajesh Kacchap
Ranchi: Local residents troubled by the dilapidated condition of the road from Irba to Ansar Nagar (Masjid-e-Yunus) have submitted a memorandum to MLA Rajesh Kacchap, demanding that the road be widened and reconstructed afresh. The memorandum was submitted by Humayun Ansari (Naeem), General Secretary of the Ranchi District Rural Congress Committee
According to the memorandum, the road from Zakir Ansari’s house in Irba to Ansar Nagar is a vital lifeline for the area, connecting several neighbourhoods. However, no repair or widening work has been carried out on this road for many years. Locals say that during the rainy season, large potholes, waterlogging, and mud make it extremely difficult for pedestrians to walk and for vehicles to pass. For two-wheeler riders and pedestrians, this road has become a serious accident risk.
The memorandum further highlights that villagers use this road daily to reach schools, colleges, hospitals, and workplaces. Important institutions like Mount Hera School, Indian Public School, Inter College, and Hirat Marriage Hall are all situated along this stretch. Due to the poor condition of the road, residents face significant hardships.
Through the memorandum, the local residents have put forward five key demands:
- Complete reconstruction of the road.
- Widening of the road.
- Construction of a durable paved road that can withstand the rainy season.
- Development of a proper drainage system to prevent waterlogging.
- Adequate arrangements along sensitive parts of the road to ensure safe movement for all.
Humayun Ansari (Naeem), General Secretary of the Ranchi District Rural Congress Committee has appealed to the MLA to take immediate action so that the public can get relief and smooth travel on this important route can be ensured. Local residents are hopeful that MLA Rajesh Kacchap will take prompt steps to resolve this major public issue.
