Assembly Gherao on August 4 Demanding Constitutional Rights: S. Ali
Ranchi — Ahead of the upcoming Assembly gherao scheduled for August 4, 2025, a round table meeting was organized by the AMYA organization in Madanpur village of Kanke Block. The meeting was chaired by the AMYA organization’s central in-charge, Ziyauddin Ansari.
On this occasion, AMYA’s central president S. Ali stated that the dream of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the creation of a separate Jharkhand state still remains unfulfilled. He emphasized that the state has yet to implement a comprehensive local policy. Backward communities have been deprived of reservation benefits in proportion to their population.
S. Ali further said that despite playing a significant role in the Jharkhand movement, the Muslim community continues to be denied constitutional rights and social justice. Incidents of mob lynching are on the rise in the state. Hajj pilgrims from Jharkhand are now compelled to travel via Kolkata airport to reach Jeddah, whereas previously, they had the convenience of flying from Ranchi’s Birsa Munda Airport.
He also pointed out that the budget allocated for minority youth loan schemes is grossly inadequate. The Chief Minister’s free coaching scheme for minority students has been pending for years. The file for the formation of the Urdu Academy is gathering dust in government offices.
S. Ali further expressed concern that the recognition of Aalim and Fazil degrees is being withdrawn. Candidates holding Fazil and B.Ed. degrees are being unfairly excluded from appointments to the post of Secondary Urdu Teacher.
The round table meeting saw participation from Safdar Sultan (Saddam), Sarfaraz Ansari, Javed Ansari, Modassir Ehrar, Meraj Ansari, Sheikh Asif, Abu Rehan, Salamat Ansari, Imran Jilani, Akhtar Ansari, Ahmad Raza, Suhail Ansari, Hifzur Rahman, Maulana Ashraf, Maulana Subhan, Takmeem Ansari, Mohammad Afroz, Abdul Latif, and Islam Ansari, along with many other participants are present.
