Akhara Performers Displayed Strength at Dahutola Muharram Fair, Winners Felicitated

Chants of ‘Ya Ali, Ya Hussain’ Resonated Across Dahutola Muharram Ground

Ranchi: Under the aegis of the Central Muharram Committee, Dahutola Mandro, a grand Muharram fair was organized on Tuesday at the Dahutola Muharram Ground. On this occasion, thousands of devotees from Dahutola, Mandro, Tundahuli and nearby villages participated in the procession. The entire ground echoed with chants of ‘Ya Ali, Ya Hussain’. During the fair, Akhara performers showcased their impressive skills in traditional weapon-handling competitions. The event commenced with the ceremonial welcome of the Chief Guest, Ormanjhi Deputy Pramukh Rizwan Ansari, and the Special Guest, Senior Social Worker and Former Deputy Pramukh Muntazir Ahmad Raza. They were honored with traditional turbans and swords by the organizing committee. Participants who gave outstanding performances in the competitions were felicitated by the committee. The first prize was awarded to Husaini Club, Kute; the second prize to Husaini Club, Giddi; and the third prize to Star Club, Kute.

The event was graced by Ormanjhi Police Station In-Charge Anil Tiwari, Dashmi Minj, Panchayat Samiti Member Vishnu Oraon, Magnu Munda, Taralal Yadav, Devnath Pahan, Yunus, Manan, Hussain, Tafeejul, Jibrail, Mobin Ansari and several other distinguished persons. The peaceful and harmonious conduct of the Muharram fair was made possible due to the commendable efforts of Mobarak Ansari, Israfil Ansari, Zakir Ansari, and all committee members. The entire event was carried out in an extremely disciplined and well-organized manner, earning appreciation and gratitude from the local community and administration alike.
