Ranchi: The District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi, Manjunath Bhajantri, conducted a surprise inspection of Sadar Hospital late in the evening. He reviewed various medical facilities available to patients, including emergency, OPD, CCU, cardiology, canteen, pharmacy, and cleanliness. During the inspection, he issued necessary guidelines to the hospital superintendent, doctors, and staff.

Lab Information System to be Activated Soon, Patients to Receive Test Reports on Mobile

Regarding the shortage of diagnostic and radiology services at Sadar Hospital, the District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Manjunath Bhajantri, stated that a framework for improving the hospital’s infrastructure will be finalized in a District Health Society meeting. The hospital superintendent informed that the hospital’s Lab Information System (LIMS) will soon be activated and is currently in the trial phase. Once LIMS is operational, test reports will be available on both the ward and patients’ mobile numbers.

Interacted with Patients in Wards, Found Patients Satisfied with the Facilities

The District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner also interacted with patients undergoing treatment in the CCU and cardiology departments. He gathered feedback from patients about the medical facilities, cleanliness, and canteen services. Patients expressed satisfaction with the services provided at the hospital. Many patients who had come from other districts for treatment also appreciated the arrangements. The District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner directed the hospital staff to continue working with the same service-oriented approach.

Patient Had to Bring Medicine from Outside, Deputy Commissioner Requested Report

During the inspection, a patient who had come to the hospital for treatment informed the Deputy Commissioner that they had to bring one medicine from outside. In response, the Deputy Commissioner immediately instructed the hospital superintendent to inquire about the issue and submit a report regarding the unavailability of the medicine.

Instructed to Display Stock of Medicines on Display Board

The District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner, Manjunath Bhajantri, directed the hospital superintendent to ensure that life-saving medicines are available at all times. He also instructed that the available medicines be displayed on a display board in the hospital. Additionally, he provided necessary instructions to the staff in the hospital pharmacy.
