Demand for Inclusion of Minority Development Plans in Abuwa Budget: S. Ali
Ranchi: A meeting was organized by the Amya Organization at Anjuman Plaza, Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The meeting focused on discussing plans related to the educational, economic, social, and basic needs of minorities. During the meeting, S. Ali issued a proposal addressed to the Chief Minister of Jharkhand and other concerned ministers, demanding an increase in the budget and the inclusion of specific schemes for minorities.
Key Demands:
- Minority Division:
Increase the budget of the Minority Division to ₹500 crore.
Allocate ₹200 crore for minorities under the Chief Minister Employment Generation Scheme.
Restart the Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for minorities.
Establish +2 residential schools for minorities at the district level.
Implement smart classrooms in madrasas and minority schools.
Construct a minority women’s hostel in Ranchi.
Initiate skill training programs aimed at employment generation for minority youth.
Build libraries in minority-dominated areas.
Construct community halls at the panchayat level.
Launch a marriage assistance scheme for minority girls.
- Education Department:
Establish a Maulana Azad Arabic-Persian University in Jharkhand.
Start courses for minority students in technical institutions (ITIs and polytechnics) built under the MSDP scheme.
Provide free coaching or scholarships to minority candidates clearing preliminary exams of UPSC and JPSC.
Construct community halls for minorities in every municipal ward.
- Social Welfare Department:
Launch the Fatima Sheikh Kishori Samriddhi Yojana on the lines of the Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana.
- Rural Development Department:
Initiate the Fatima Sheikh Encouragement Campaign modeled after the Phulo-Jhano Ashirwad Abhiyan.
Implement road and bridge construction projects in minority-dominated villages and panchayats.
- Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Department:
Provide deep boring, solar pumps, tractors, and agricultural equipment to minority farmers.
Launch livestock schemes to support the livelihoods of minorities.
- Drinking Water and Sanitation Department:
Execute drinking water projects in minority-dominated areas.
- Revenue and Land Reforms Department:
Allot 5 decimal plots to landless minority families.
Grant long-term leases for religious and cultural sites used by minorities on government land for over 30 years.
- Health Department:
Establish health centers in minority-dominated panchayats and municipal wards.
The meeting was attended by key members, including Ziauddin Ansari, Mohammad Furqan, Ekram Hussain, Maulana Fazlul Qadir, Shahid Afroz, Mohammad Aurangzeb, Alauddin Ansari, Javed Ansari, Abdul Bari, Siddique Ansari, Aslam Ansari, Hasan Ansari, and Imran Jilani. The main objective of the meeting was to urge the Jharkhand government to take proactive steps toward the economic and social development of minorities in the state.
