DC Manjunath Bhajantri Conducts Surprise Inspection of Namkum Block-cum-Circle Office
Biometric Attendance Mandatory; Employees Without Biometric Attendance to be Considered Absent – DC
Ranchi: Ranchi DC Manjunath Bhajantri has been conducting regular inspections of block and circle offices. As part of this initiative, on December 11, 2024, at approximately 4:00 PM, he conducted a surprise inspection of the Namkum Block-cum-Circle Office.

Biometric Attendance Mandatory – DC
Upon arriving at the office, DC reviewed the attendance of all officers and staff. He emphasized that employees failing to mark their biometric attendance would be considered absent. The DC directed Block Development Officer (BDO) Vijay Kumar and Circle Officer (CO) Kamal Kishore Singh to take action against unauthorized absentees. During the inspection, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Savita Kumari Verma was found absent. The DC instructed verification of the validity of her absence.

Ensure Timely Disposal of Pending Cases
DC reviewed the status of pending matters in the office, examining the logbooks, inward-outward registers, cash books, files, public grievances, and pension-related documents. He directed the officers to expedite the resolution of pending land mutation (dakhil-kharij) cases accurately and within stipulated timelines. To prevent unnecessary inconvenience to the public, DC instructed the BDO and CO to promote the district administration’s WhatsApp helpline number 9430328080.

Expedite Benefits Under Key Schemes
During the inspection, DC reviewed the progress of MGNREGA, the 15th Finance Commission projects, Abua Awas Yojna, and Maiyyan Samman Yojna. He directed the officials to ensure prompt disbursement of benefits under these schemes. Additionally, he emphasized that panchayats, as the first point of contact for government schemes, must prioritize initiatives aimed at strengthening local governance through MGNREGA and 15th Finance Commission allocations.
Focus on Cleanliness and Basic Amenities
DC toured the office premises and issued directives for proper cleanliness and beautification. He also reviewed the status of basic facilities like water, electricity, restrooms, and solar systems, instructing improvements where necessary.
Inspection of Community Health Center (CHC)
DC also conducted a surprise inspection of the Namkum Community Health Center. He reviewed the attendance of doctors and staff, instructing them to ensure punctuality. Interacting with patients, he inquired about the facilities provided at the center. While inspecting ambulance services, he stressed ensuring readiness for emergencies, the availability of oxygen, and maintaining cleanliness. DC also directed improvements in cleanliness, water supply, generator services, and solar systems at the CHC.
