DC Manjunath Bhajantri Conducts Surprise Inspection of Kanke Block and Community Health Center, CO Found Absent

Ranchi: DC Ranchi, Manjunath Bhajantri, conducted a surprise inspection of the Kanke Block-cum-Circle Office and the Community Health Center today. During the visit, he reviewed the administrative arrangements, attendance of officials/employees, and the progress of public-centric work.

Attendance of Officials and Employees Examined

DC arrived at the Kanke Block-cum-Circle Office at 4:30 PM and inspected the biometric attendance records. He instructed the Block Development Officer (BDO) to take disciplinary action against employees found absent without authorization.

Circle Officer Found Absent

During the inspection, Circle Officer (CO) Jay Kumar was found absent. DC directed the issuance of a show-cause notice and ordered the suspension of his salary. Additionally, he instructed verification of work conducted by Amin Ram Lal Mahto in the Hehal Circle on December 9 and 10, 2024.

Instructions for Improving Work Processes

DC emphasized that all officials and employees should arrive at the office on time and carry out their responsibilities diligently. He stressed that public grievances should be resolved promptly to ensure that citizens do not have to repeatedly visit the office for the same issue.

Review of Documents and Pending Cases

DC inspected the logbooks, inward-outward registers, cash books, files, public grievance records, and pension cases.

He reviewed the targets and progress under the Abua Awas Yojana, directing the completion of pending housing projects at the earliest.

He instructed the expeditious resolution of pending mutation cases within the Circle jurisdiction.

Instructions for Fire Arrangements to Combat Winter

In view of the increasing cold, the DC instructed the Kanke Block administration to ensure proper arrangements for fireplaces (alaw) at key public locations. He emphasized that no individual should be left to sleep in the open during cold nights.

Inspection of Cleanliness and Basic Facilities

DC reviewed the availability of water, electricity, toilets, and solar systems in the office premises.

He directed that all office rooms be kept clean and properly maintained.

Inspection of Community Health Center, Kanke

DC also visited the Community Health Center, where he checked the attendance of doctors and staff across all shifts. He issued the following directives:

Ensure that ambulances are equipped with adequate oxygen and maintained in a clean condition.

Maintain proper water supply, cleanliness, power backup through generators, and solar systems in all wards.

During this surprise inspection, DC provided critical instructions to improve the administrative functioning of the Block-cum-Circle Office and the Community Health Center. He directed officials to ensure that citizens face no inconvenience and that their grievances are resolved promptly.
