Protest by Muslim Organizations Over Mob Lynching Bill Amendment and Other Demands

Ranchi:— During the monsoon session, demands were raised before the Jharkhand government to amend the Mob Lynching Bill 2021 and implement it effectively. Along with this, Muslim organizations also demanded the withdrawal of the FIR filed in the June 10, 2022 Ranchi Main Road firing incident on the lines of the Khunti Pathalgadi case, and a CBI probe into the Ramgarh Aftab Ansari murder case. In addition, several issues related to the Muslim community’s justice, rights, education, and employment were highlighted. The key demands included declaring results for candidates with Aalim degrees for the post of Assistant Professor (Language Subject), inclusion of candidates with Fazil degrees in the recruitment process for Secondary Urdu Teachers, and the formation of an Urdu Academy in Jharkhand. To press for these demands, leaders of Muslim organizations staged a protest at Brambe in Mandar block, holding placards and urging the state government to take prompt action. S. Ali, President of the Amya organization, said, “The Muslim community has not yet received rights proportional to its population.”

Nurullah Habib Nadvi, Sadar of Anjuman Islamia Mandar, stated, “The Muslim community played a vital role in the Jharkhand statehood movement, but the government continues to ignore them.”

Meanwhile, Anisur Rahman, Secretary of Ratu Block Anjuman Committee, said, “Many issues concerning education and employment have been pending at the government level for a long time, and they need urgent resolution.”

Among those present on the occasion were Md. Enamullah Nadvi, Anjuma Khan, Ajmul Haque, Junaid Alam, Tahmeed Ansari, Mahtab Ansari, Mushtaq Ansari, Abuzar Ansari, Tahir Ansari, Mojib Ansari, Moin Ansari, Shafiq Ansari, Zainul Ansari, along with a large number of participants.
