Mesra:— Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri Inaugurates 33rd National Archery Meet-2025

Ranchi:— The 33rd National Archery Meet-2025 was inaugurated at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Mesra, Ranchi. Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate of Ranchi, Manjunath Bhajantri, attended the event as the Chief Guest and formally declared the meet open by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

In his inspirational address, the Deputy Commissioner said that sports are an integral part of life, fostering discipline, teamwork, concentration, and self-confidence. He highlighted that archery, being a traditional and prestigious sport, has long been a part of India’s cultural identity. Expressing his delight, he said it was heartening to see participants from different regions of the country competing in this event.

Encouraging the participants, Deputy Commissioner Manjunath
Bhajantri remarked that beyond winning or losing, participation itself is the most significant aspect of sports. He described the meet as a golden opportunity for young athletes to showcase their talent on a national platform. Extending his best wishes, he urged all participants to perform with complete dedication and true sporting spirit.

Organized by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, Patna Region, the competition features teams from eight regions—Bhopal, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Pune, Shillong, and Patna. A total of 192 athletes, both boys and girls, are competing in the event. The championship will conclude on August 21, 2025.
