Traffic Chaos Disrupts Daily Life, Demand for Bus Stand Construction in BIT Mesra Area

Ranchi — Daily life is being severely disrupted due to persistent traffic jams near the Jumar Bridge on the Ranchi-Hazaribagh main road, close to the BSNL Gate and Getlatu village. In particular, uncontrolled parking and halting of buses in the BIT Mesra OP police station area are causing significant inconvenience to local residents, pedestrians, and shopkeepers.

The primary cause of the traffic jams is the irregular stopping of buses. According to locals, most buses coming from Ramgarh and Hazaribagh halt haphazardly on both sides of the road, as there is no designated bus stand in the area. In the absence of proper facilities, bus drivers are forced to stop in the middle of the road to pick up and drop off passengers, leading to long queues of vehicles and daily congestion.

This problem not only causes traffic jams but also increases the risk of accidents. The area is densely populated and surrounded by several private schools, hospitals, banks, and marketplaces, making it a hub of commercial and social activity. Continuous traffic pressure throughout the day is creating difficulties for students, patients, employees, and the general public.

Local advocate Anant Kumar Singh, along with other community representatives and social workers, has raised this serious issue and demanded that the administration take immediate steps to construct a proper bus stand in the BIT Mesra OP area. They emphasized that the problem is no longer limited to traffic but is now affecting daily life, health, safety, and livelihoods.

Residents have urged the administration to recognize the gravity of the situation and take concrete steps toward a permanent solution. A well-organized bus stand would not only improve traffic management but also reduce the risk of accidents and provide much-needed relief to the people of the area.
