Eid-ul-Adha Prayer to Be Held at Irba Eidgah at 7 AM on June 7
Clash Averted by Anwar Ansari’s Sensible Mediation; Bakrid to Be Celebrated in Unity in Irba
Ranchi: The festival of Eid-ul-Adha (Bakrid) will be celebrated in the Irba region on June 7, 2025, with religious devotion, communal harmony, and a peaceful atmosphere. All preparations for the special congregational prayers have been completed.
The Markazi Anjuman Society had designated two main venues for the Eid prayers. According to Society President Imtiaz Ohdar, the first prayer will be held at 6:30 AM at Jama Masjid, Irba, and the second at 7:30 AM at the Eidgah located at Madrasa Mazharul Uloom, Irba. A special meeting was held on June 1 at Jama Masjid to review and finalize the arrangements.
A potential dispute was amicably resolved through the intervention of Anwar Ahmad Ansari, Vice President of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee and National Vice President of the All India Congress Committee Minority Department. Due to the possibility of rain, local residents had requested that permission be granted to offer prayers at Bilal Masjid as well.
Concerned about the emerging situation, the residents reached out to Anwar Ahmad Ansari, who emphasized the importance of resolving such issues through dialogue, not conflict. Acting swiftly, he contacted Imtiaz Ohdar, President of the Markazi Anjuman Society, and recommended that an emergency meeting be convened.
The meeting, chaired by Anwar Ahmad Ansari himself on Thursday at Jama Masjid, Irba, was attended by all key members of the Markazi Anjuman Society, local intellectuals, and public representatives. After thorough discussion, it was unanimously decided that the main congregational Eid prayer would be held at 7 AM at Irba Eidgah. However, in case of adverse weather, prayers may be offered at local mosques as per their respective timings, to ensure no inconvenience to the community.
Anwar Ahmad Ansari appealed to all to maintain peace, patience, and understanding, stressing that on this sacred occasion, it is everyone’s duty to embody the spirit of unity, sacrifice, and service within society.
He urged the entire Muslim community of Irba and nearby areas to reach the designated prayer site on time and celebrate the festival with discipline, harmony, and brotherhood. Citizens of other faiths were also requested to support communal harmony, so that the occasion may serve as a symbol of mutual respect and national unity.
