Ranchi District Emerges Overall Champion with Over 1800 Points at State-Level Yoga Olympiad

Ranchi: Ranchi district delivered an outstanding performance in the State-Level Yoga Olympiad 2025, securing the title of Overall Champion by scoring over 1800 points. In recognition of the participants’ achievements, the district administration honored and encouraged them for their success.

As per the directives of Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Magistrate Manjunath Bhajantri, District Superintendent of Education Badal Raj personally met with the gold and silver medal-winning participants, congratulated them on their accomplishments, and offered guidance and best wishes for the upcoming national-level competition. On this occasion, physical education instructors and teachers from the respective schools were also present.

The State-Level Yoga Olympiad was held on May 20, 2025, at the Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium, Khelgaon, Ranchi. Participants from Ranchi district earned medals in the following categories:

Boys (Classes 6–8): 4 participants secured first place and won gold medals.

Boys (Classes 9–10): 3 participants secured first place and also won gold medals.

Girls (Classes 9–10): 4 participants secured second place and were awarded silver medals.

With this stellar performance and a total score exceeding 1800 points, Ranchi district claimed the overall championship with the highest score in the competition.

The selected participants will now represent the state at the National Yoga Olympiad, to be organized by NCERT, New Delhi, under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, from June 15 to 18, 2025, in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu.
