Cricket Carnival in Irba: Haji Ehsan Ansari Memorial Night Cricket Tournament Begins Tomorrow
Ranchi: Under the aegis of the Florence Group of Institutions, Irba, the Haji Ehsan Ansari Memorial Knockout Night Cricket Tournament 2025 is set to commence from April 10 at the Irba Football Ground. The tournament will run from April 10 to April 15, 2025, concluding with a grand final match.
A total of 32 teams will participate in the tournament. Each match will consist of 8 overs per side, including a 3-over powerplay. All matches will be played using Sky Warrior balls, and the umpire’s decision will be final and binding.
All players are required to carry their original Aadhaar card, which will be verified through OTP authentication. Excuses involving mobile issues or text messages will not be entertained; violation of this rule will lead to disqualification from the match.
Any team found involved in disputes or misconduct will be automatically disqualified and expelled from the tournament. It is also mandatory for each team to consist of players from the same village—non-compliance will result in elimination from the competition. Teams must wear uniform jerseys while playing, as the tournament follows a knockout format.
The primary aim of this tournament is to encourage local youth to engage in sports and to provide a platform for rural talent to showcase their abilities.
The champion team will be awarded a cash prize of ₹71,000, along with a trophy and individual rewards. The runner-up will receive ₹41,000 and a trophy. Teams finishing in third and fourth place will be awarded ₹10,000 each.

Best Batsman
Best Fielder
