Grand Jalsa-e-Dastaarbandi Ceremony at Irba Madarsa Mazharul Uloom, 73 Students Honored with Turbans
Ranchi: A grand Jalsa-e-Dastaarbandi ceremony was organized at Madarsa Mazharul Uloom in Irba on Wednesday night. The event was of great significance, drawing thousands of people from Ranchi and nearby areas. During this occasion, 73 students of Madarsa Mazharul Uloom completed their Hifz education and were honored with turbans and Hafiz certificates. The ceremony was presided over by Hazrat Maulana Fariduddin Qasmi of Darul Uloom Deoband, while the chief guest was Hazrat Mufti Omar Abedeen Qasmi Madani, General Secretary of All India Milli Council, Telangana. Hazrat Maulana Jameel Ahmad Qasmi from Bangalore was also present at the event.

The event was organized by the administration of Madarsa Mazharul Uloom with the objective of honoring students who completed their Hifz (memorization of the Quran) for their dedication and hard work. The ceremony was attended by teachers, students, their families, and several distinguished members of the community. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of Hifz-e-Quran and its religious and social contributions. Hazrat Maulana Fariduddin Qasmi, Darul Uloom Deoband, wished the students a bright future and encouraged them.
Hazrat Maulana Fariduddin Qasmi said, The pride of the Madarsa is its students. Only the students can bring honor to the Madarsa; without them, the Madarsa would lose its honor. This Madarsa is a source of our progress and the preservation of our faith. Without these Madarsas, the protection of faith would be difficult. If Darul Uloom Deoband hadn’t existed, the sound of ‘Allahu Akbar’ from the minarets of mosques in India would not have been heard. We hear ‘Allahu Akbar’ because Darul Uloom Deoband exists.

Hazrat Mufti Omar Abedeen Qasmi Madani, General Secretary, All India Milli Council, Telangana, also emphasized the importance of the Quran and its impact in Islam. He said, The first message is that the Quran is the book of Allah, sent to bring revolution, change, and destiny to humankind. This book changed the destiny of Muslims 1500 years ago. Even today, if Muslims want to shape their future, they must embrace the Quran.
Hazrat Mufti Omar Abedeen Qasmi Madani further stated, The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said that Allah elevates and grants power to many nations through this book, and similarly, He disgraces and humiliates others.

Hazrat Maulana Jameel Ahmad Qasmi remarked, Four books were revealed by Allah: Tauret, Inzeel, Jabur, and the final revelation, the Quran. The Quran is the only book whose Hafiz is born in this world. Tauret, Inzeel and Jabur were revealed at once, while the Quran was revealed over 23 years.

The Jalsa-e-Dastaarbandi ceremony aimed to promote Islamic education and foster religious unity. Prominent figures at the event included Mufti Imran Nadwi, Mufti Wasi-ur-Rehman Nadwi, Mufti Abu Ubaida, Mufti Furqan Qasmi, Maulana Sami-ul-Haq Mazahiri, Master Abdul Quddus, Qari Ayub Hasan Falahi, and many other respected religious leaders and scholars. The success of the event was seen as a historic occasion by both the organizers and attendees. Such events not only help in promoting Islamic education but also encourage religious tolerance and unity within society.
